Promote ties between agriculture-based interests and the Pierre/Ft. Pierre business community. Plans the Ag Field Day, Ag Banquet and decides the recipients of the Ag Scholarship.
Each year, a scholarship is granted to a young man or woman attending TF Riggs and Stanley County High School who will be attending an accredited university, college, technical school or other recognized program and enrolled in an agricultural related field of study.
The Outstanding Farmer/Rancher of the Year award goes to an area individual that deserves recognition for their contributions and involvement specific to the agriculture industry.

Capital Area Networking
Capital Area Networking (CAN) is a new group under the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce to encourage networking, information and referrals with local professionals and businesses. CAN meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 8:15 – 9 am. Each meeting will cover a different topic of discussion and give attendees a chance to talk about who they are and what they do. Government Relations Committee
Ensures member businesses have a voice in the political process on a local, state and national level. Organizes events and meetings with elected officials such as Cracker barrels.
