The Dunes Golf Course is a USGA-rated
18-hole, par-63 course with a driving
range and a lounge. The course > > Disc Golf
is located one mile north of Pierre
on Highway 1806. Call 605.223.2525 A growing sport among people
for more information and to set up of all ages, disc golf is popular
your tee time. www.golfdunes.com in the Pierre–Fort Pierre area,
which features a disc golf course
at Oahe Downstream and at Steamboat
Park. Both disc golf courses are free.
At Oahe Downstream, a valid park
entrance license is required and discs
are available to rent.

Tennis is a popular warm-weather
pastime in Pierre, which offers
a dozen free public courts at city
parks. Griffin Park is the local center
for playing, learning and watching
tennis. The riverside park’s eight
courts include four lighted courts.
Nearby clubhouse and concessions
provide convenient services to players
and spectators. LaBarge Park,
on the north side of town, features
